From congratulations with the 10th Anniversary of Ukrainian Financial Group
Sports and business are called “peace envoys” by right. And I am pleased to note that Ukrainian Financial Group focused its activity on both of them to the benefit of Ukraine, raising the perception of our country abroad.
I used to stand on the top of the podium at the Olympics, and I attended many top international events while being Chairman of the National Olympic Committee or with other sports organisations. However, tears come into my eyes each time our athletes win and my country’s flag runs up to our national anthem, - like it was for the first time. I know from my own experience and the experience of my colleagues that sport victories give your country even more publicity than diplomatic or other victories, with all my recognition and appreciation of the latter’s usefulness and irreplaceability.
This is why I was always pleased to see your company contributing to raising Ukraine’s authority abroad through support of prominent Ukrainian athletes. In particular, you supported Oksana BAYUL, the first Olympic Champion in the history of independent Ukraine, Elena PETROVA and Victor PETRENKO, Olympic medallists, as well as various Ukrainian sport teams.
UFG’s charity initiatives in Ukraine serve the same goal, and first of all, the Chestnut Run initiated and implemented by DIALLA COMMUNICATIONS, a company within UFG family. This is a unique sports event, which has been part of Kyiv Day holiday for eight years in a row. The leading Ukrainian track and field athletes compete in the Chestnut Run showing increasingly progressing results over the years. Moreover, representatives of the foreign community in Ukraine also participate. Recently the Chestnut Run geography has expanded to Melbourne, involving the local Ukrainian diaspora. I wish Ukraine could have more such initiatives that propagate love and mercy as traditional Ukrainian values.
I would also like to mention UFG’s business as a peace envoy, as it has contributed to Ukrainian prestige as much as the sports did. UFG’s business success has been in the focus of Ukrainian athletes, sport officials and media’s attention, as achievements in sports directly depend on the development of the country’s economy, as well as on business people who are not indifferent to the sports and capable of providing a practical support.
Please take my best congratulations with the 10th anniversary of Ukrainian Financial Group. I wish all the best to the company’s management, specialists, shareholders and partners in business. And, of course, I wish you every success in the competition!
